Home and Loving It!

We are now home and very glad to be out of the hospital.  The most surprising thing about being home is that 'the girls' pay no attention to Maddox.  The have licked him a few times but other than that they are living life as normal, sleeping on the sofas, drooling for treats and sleeping at our feet!  Madds has been great, he is perfect and we love him so much!   Life is so much better now that he is a part of it and Ryan is the best husband/father I have ever known.  We are very blessed.

Hospital Daze!

Ryan and I chose not to have the baby go to the nursery in the hospital.  We wanted him to be with us the entire time which made for some long days and nights but Maddox is worth it and we love him!  My brother flew in the night before Maddox arrived and I was so excited to see him, it meant the world to me that he was there to meet his nephew!

My Great Grandparents

Maddox only has one set of great grandparents and he was very excited to meet them!  Great Grandma Donna is who painted on his wall and did the amazing painting above his bed as well!

STRETCH!!!

Maddox William

Here is our baby boy! Maddox weighed in at 9.4 pounds and 21.5 inches long.  He has some hair that is light brown in color and he is PERFECT!!!!  The c-section was not as bad as I thought it was going to be and my recovery has been going well up to this point.

Update!!!

Ryan and I went to the MD yesterday to have an ultrasound and we learned that our little Maddox is over 10 pounds and too big for me to deliver naturally.  Therefore, we had to schedule a C-section for thursday May 21, 2009.  We were not expecting to have a C-section and I was very upset with the news from the MD.  After talking with family and friends I am feeling more confident with the Doctor's decision and am excited to meet our son.  We will try to post pictures as soon as we are able!!!!!

Wall Painting!!!

Today Grandma Donna finished the wall painting in Maddox's room!!!!  Ryan and I absolutely love it and we know that Maddox will too.  Grandma Donna worked very hard on this and we are so very grateful! She is going to be called Granny by Maddox and one day he will be able to thank his Granny in person for his own personal jungle in his room.  Thanks again Grandma Donna, WE LOVE IT!!!!
